The INOV.AM Agenda, represented by AIDA CCI, was on a prospecting visit to the IMTS – International Manufacturing Technology Show from 9 to 14 September, where they had the opportunity to promote the agenda and participate in meetings, lectures, and conferences specialised in additive manufacturing.

The focus was on establishing strategic partnerships that could support the growth and internationalisation of additive manufacturing technologies developed in Portugal. During the meetings, the ambitious goals of the agenda and the huge potential of the Portuguese market in the Additive Manufacturing sector were highlighted, reinforcing the importance of innovation and international collaboration.

Among the various contacts established, one of the new technologies growing in the additive sector was highlighted: the EBM, Electron Beam Melting manufacturing process, which reduces costs and decreases mould production time, a technological trend in Additive Manufacturing, which is being implemented in several countries such as the USA, Japan, and also in Europe.

The team organising the fair, AMT, shared positive feedback and the benefits that this fair is generating for the exhibiting companies. Bill Herman, Rick Brandt, and Conchi Araguen presented the exhibition plan for FORMNEXT USA 2025, which will take place from 8 to 10 April 2025, where INOV.AM representatives initiated negotiations for the presence of the INOV.AM Agenda.

We also highlight the opportunity to meet with Mário Quina, AICEP Delegate in Chicago, USA, where the agenda, its partners, goals, and PPS were presented. Additionally, the 1st International Conference, to be held in November at the Espaço Vita in Braga, was introduced.

During the visit, it was possible to attend various Conferences, one of which was related to Additive Manufacturing Trends and featured renowned experts such as Dayton Horvath from AMT, Scoot Dunham from AM Research, and Matias Schmidt from AMPOWER.

The INOV.AM project runs from 1 July 2022 to 31 December 2025 and is co-financed with non-refundable funding, with a total eligible amount of €76,952,903.21, through the PRR via Next generation EU.
