We are pleased to announce that a study conducted under the INOV.AM Agenda and the Telecommunications Institute has been awarded.

We are talking about the Young Scientist Award given by the International Union of Radio Science (URSI), whose winner was Saúl Carvalho, a master’s student in Electrical Engineering at the School of Technology and Management (ESTG), Polytechnic of Leiria. The work was developed in collaboration with student Samuel Heleno, under the guidance of professors João Ricardo Reis and Rafael Caldeirinha.

The student presented the paper “Assessing the Feasibility of Metallic-type FDM 3D Printed Antennas at K-band,” highlighting the potential of 3D printing techniques for the development of high-performance antennas.
