PPS01 – Hybrid Molds and Tools for Customization and Production of Low and Medium Product Ranges.

The outputs of PPS 1 include customised and modular productive moulds and tools, allowing the production of small and medium series of polymeric and/or metallic products at competitive costs. Within this PPS, four types of moulds and tools will be produced (at least four new TRL7 products), aligned with WPs 2, 3, 4, and 24, as follows:

• WP2 – Hybrid Mould with Moulding Inserts for Producing Polymeric Parts/Aluminium Alloys via the Injection Moulding Process, with application in the Automotive Industry.
• WP3 – Hybrid Mould for Producing High-Performance Polymeric Parts through Injection Moulding, intended for the Water Heaters, Boilers, and Heat Pumps Industry.
• WP4 – Productive Tool Produced by Additive Manufacturing incorporating Monitoring Sensors linked to Artificial Intelligence Mechanisms, rendering the tool an Intelligent Product.
• WP24 – Hybrid Moulds with Additively Manufactured Inserts, featuring Conformable Channels, Geometric Precision of 50 Microns, and Optimised Temperature Management.
