PPS06 – Additive Manufacturing Equipment for Large-scale Products (>1m3)
PPS6 delivers manufacturing systems for additive production of products larger than 1m³, suitable for various applications and multiple material types. Unlike PPS5, these systems are optimised for large product dimensions with lower requirements for dimensional precision. Developed within WPs 5, 12, 13, 16, 17, 19, and 20, PPS6 will result in at least six new additive manufacturing systems tailored for specific industrial applications:
- WP5 – A productive cell for additive manufacturing of large-scale parts in a controlled environment, supporting stability and quality for oversized components.
- WP12 – A complete additive manufacturing cell with a maximum build size of 12 meters, capable of processing both thermoplastics and thermosetting materials via extrusion processes.
- WP13 – Large-scale production cell designed for products made from thermoplastic pre-preg composites, enabling efficient composite fabrication for demanding applications.
- WP16 – A hybrid additive manufacturing cell dedicated to ceramic paste, expanding the scope of ceramic applications.
- WP17 – Hybrid additive manufacturing cell optimised for ceramic powders and extrusion, providing flexibility for complex ceramic part production.
- WP19 – Robotized hybrid additive manufacturing cell, integrated within a comprehensive digital ecosystem for fabricating parts and structures in the construction sector.
- WP20 – Large-scale productive cell enabling the deposition of thermoplastics with pine and eucalyptus fibers and wood tape, facilitating the production of freeform panels.
