WP23 – Innovation and Sustainability Management
WP23 – Innovation and Sustainability Management includes a set of transversal actions that aim to enhance the added value resulting from the other Work Packages (WPs). It is divided into 5 Activities and is associated with 4 Intervention Areas proposed by the project:
- A1 – Technological Surveillance and Knowledge Protection
- A2 – Certification Models
- A3 – Sustainability Management
- A4 – Knowledge Mobility
- A5 – Management, Promotion, and Economic Return of Project Results
A1 – Technological Surveillance and Knowledge Protection, led by TecMinho, is an organized, selective, and continuous process for capturing information about science and technology relevant to the project. This activity involves selecting, analyzing, promoting, and communicating insights to convert information into knowledge that informs decisions, minimizes risk, and anticipates changes.
A2 – Certification Models, managed by Centimfe with the collaboration of PIEP, focuses on two essential aspects. First, it involves developing models or test plans for the materials, products, and processes resulting from the project. Secondly, it structures guidelines for certification processes, laying the foundation for establishing a standard of requirements for products and processes based on additive manufacturing in the near future.
A3 – Sustainability Management includes interactions led by PIEP in collaboration with Centimfe. This activity evaluates the project’s most significant results in environmental, economic, and social terms, compared to the project’s initial state, to gauge its sustainability impact.
A4 – Knowledge Mobility is driven by AIDA with Poolnet’s support, aiming to promote additive manufacturing technologies and materials at both national and international levels. This includes customized, high-value-added products from new material developments and equipment production within this Innovation Pact.
A5 – Management, Promotion, and Economic Return of Project Results, led by Erofio as project promoter, aims to ensure timely completion of the planned activities within the specified budget. This activity also focuses on identifying potential deviations from the established activity plan to maintain project integrity and optimize economic return.
