Safesail Solution | Cibersecurity
With the development of new additive manufacturing processes, controlling both processes and products has become crucial. Given the digital nature of these processes, where files are managed through cloud systems, ensuring the protection of all data and technology – including software, applications, and files – is essential.
In response, the Safesail cybersecurity brand was launched as part of the PPS8 (Tools for Digital Transformation in Additive Manufacturing) and WP22 (Cyber-Physical Systems and Digitization) within the scope of the INOV.AM agenda. Developed by HLink, Safesail aims to strengthen cybersecurity and safeguard companies’ information.
The primary focus of Safesail is to offer a comprehensive and integrated solution for the protection of organizations’ digital assets, enhancing cyber resilience and ensuring business continuity. This framework not only mitigates risks but is adaptable to each company’s unique needs. Safesail combines continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, device and data protection, and ongoing user training, providing proactive and adaptable protection. This enables companies to confidently face cybersecurity challenges while ensuring compliance with regulations such as NIS2 and fostering a culture of digital security across all organizational levels.
Safesail’s work process begins with an assessment of the current state of the company’s cybersecurity level. Based on this analysis, a continuous cybersecurity implementation plan is developed, with a focus on simplifying processes to allow companies to enhance their security efficiently. Through a standardised continuous monitoring process, actions and tasks are regularly triggered to maintain up-to-date security measures.
This approach to cybersecurity is built on three fundamental pillars: people, processes, and technology:
- People: Raising awareness and training employees to prevent cyberattacks.
- Processes: Implementing policies and standards to build cyber resilience.
- Technologies: Selecting integrated solutions to maximise security outcomes.
The work conducted under WP22/PPS8 focuses on validating partner technologies to ensure secure communication between shop floor machines, users, and cloud storage systems.
In the near future, Safesail will launch the final version of its Self-Diagnostic application at https://bezes.safesail.pt, along with a Security Framework to support companies in assessing cybersecurity maturity levels and identifying risks in both existing and required security measures.
