Following the INOV.AM conference and the WP04 – “Mold5G”, a technical workshop was organized by the promoter EROFIO, Mold Engineering and Manufacturing SA, with sector partner TJ Moldes, on the applicability of conformed cooling channels in injection molds.
This action aimed to raise awareness and train partners on what these cooling systems are, when and where they should be applied, and what best practices to consider to ensure their proper functioning.
Theoretical cases and practical implementations were demonstrated, stemming from the work carried out over the past 11 years by EROFIO and ongoing projects on the agenda, as well as the relationship between the benefits and limitations associated with the use of additive and hybrid manufacturing in the mold industry.
This initiative arose from the relevance of the topics addressed in the INOV.AM project, and it was with great pride and enthusiasm that EROFIO contributed to the dissemination of knowledge and services made available to the community by the agenda.
The “INOV.AM Agenda” project runs from July 1, 2022, to December 31, 2025, and is co-financed by the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan through the Next Generation EU.
