INOV.AM agenda showcases advances in materials and equipment at Moldplas 2025
From November 13 to 15, 2025, at Moldplas stand 1D04, INOV.AM brought together hundreds of visitors interested in live demonstrations of the developments achieved.
Over three days, a diverse range of technologies, equipment, materials, and innovative industrial applications were presented at the stand, including:
- Printed molding inserts;
- Printer for stick systems with metal fillers;
- Polymer-based, recycled, or biological materials for large-scale additive manufacturing;
- Recycled, recyclable, and bio-based thermoplastic composites;
- Extruder for high-throughput additive manufacturing;
- Pre-impregnated composites with continuous fibers and thermoplastic matrices;
- Hybrid manufacturing system combining deposition and machining, integrated with body scanning, control software, and production system operation;
- Bio-based polymeric materials for additive manufacturing of orthotics;
- Additive manufacturing equipment for porcelain and red clay;
- Printed glass and plaster parts;
- Plasterboard printing equipment;
- Products printed with thermoplastic pellets and cork;
- Furniture and parts produced with wood tapes;
- Dedicated equipment for additive manufacturing of food products, including paste extrusion, powder deposition, and direct food printing.
The INOV.AM Agenda’s participation was also marked by the round table “INOV.AM – Additive Manufacturing in the Context of Innovation in Portugal,” held on November 13. The meeting brought together several Agenda partners to discuss trends, challenges, and opportunities in a rapidly changing sector. The debate provided the audience with insights into new materials, digitization, hybrid products, advanced molds, and future challenges, demonstrating the strategic relevance of the INOV.AM Agenda for Portuguese industry. During the event, it was also possible to learn about the developments of several Work Packages, namely: WP6 – INOV.AM Academy | WP8 – Laser Reconstruction | WP9 – Nonplanar.DED | WP11 – Selective.Powder | WP12 – Moldprint.XL | WP16 – AM Ceramic | WP19 – Rein4Concrete | WP20 – Conformal Wood
INOV.AM’s presence at Moldplas represented a key moment for the Agenda, highlighting the project’s impact on strengthening the competitiveness of companies, enhancing national research, and promoting Additive Manufacturing as a driver of industrial transformation.
